The 14th Executive Committee of FAAN and some other Fulbrighters participated in a meeting with Ms. Jessica Wilson, Program Officer, Office of Academic and Exchange Program. Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State and her colleagues.

General Secretary of FAAN Dr. Kirti Kusum Joshi shared FAAN’s activities and plans. 

Ms. Wilson said that she wanted to hear from alumni about the accessibility of the Fulbright program and relationship with IIE and feedback on improvement. She was asked Nepali Fulbrighters about the challenging aspect of living and studying in the US and the aspects of the program that grantees took advantage of, outside of their academics. She was also curious about the transition back to Nepal professionally, personally, and culturally. 

Alumni participants in the meeting shared their Fulbright and post-Fulbright experiences.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on how ECA/USEF/Embassy can better support the alumni network.
